Day 1 : Sydney to Newcastle - 161km

Day 1 Arrive in Sydney and pick up your vehicle before beginning your holiday. As you begin heading north you will drive through Sydneys stunning harbour with its iconic attractions. As you head north you have the option to stay on the main highway and arrive into Newcastle early or alternatively take the coastal road and explore the spectacular region that is known as the central coast. The balance of beautiful beaches, lakes and hinterlands offer outstanding natural beauty & award-winning attractions. On arrival into Newcastle take time to soak up the cities relaxed atmosphere, magnificent beaches and artistic Café culture.

Day 2: Newcastle to Port Maquarie - 248km

The drive between Newcastle and Port Maquarie takes you through the towns of Port Stephens and Taree With 26 golden sandy beaches, a bay two and a half times the size of Sydney Harbour and many beautiful inlets, Port Stephens is the perfect place to stop and relax. Try some of the locally produced wines or macadamias. Check out the famous restaurants of Nelson Bay and Shoal Bay. Follow the highway through the centre of Taree and head to Port Maquarie, one of the best tourist destinations on the New South Wales Coast.

Day 3: Port Maquarie to Coffs Harbour - 177km

Spend the morning discovering the fascinating attractions around Port Macquarie before heading north to Coffs Harbour. Follow the road direct north or detour through the Macleay Valley Coast at Kempsey taking in the National Parks and reserves which cover most of the Valley's sand-fringed coastline. Explore Hat Head National Park with pristine beaches, sand dunes, headlands and wetlands. Visit the Smoky Cape Lighthouse at South West Rocks before heading back to the main road on the way through Nambucca Heads into Coffs Harbour where the Great Dividing Range meets the ocean.

Day 4: Around Coffs Harbour

A full day in Coffs Harbour allowing you to visit the many Tourist attractions that make this one of the most popular holiday destinations on New South Wales north coast. If you are adventurous you can go Kayaking, skydiving, diving, snorkelling, surfing, whale watching, off-road 4WD adventure. For the less adventurous Coffs Harbour is halfway along the 90km string of golden beaches that makes up the Coffs Coast. Two of the most popular are in Coffs Harbour - Park Beach and Diggers Beach.

The twin towns of Foster/Tuncurry is one of New South Wales most loved holiday spots. Whether you need to or not, have a look at the toilet block, one of the town's main attractions near the caravan park. The towns lie with the Great Lakes district with its scenic walks and beautiful lakes. Take the inland road from Foster/Tuncurry to view the Myall Lakes National Park. . Alternatively arrive early back into Sydney to explore more of its culture and attractions.
