1 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Perth to Margaret
River - 227km
Day 1 After picking up your vehicle leave Perth
and head south to Margaret River following the coast via Mandurah, Bunbury and
Bussleton. Stunning beaches, great fishing, dolphins and sensational picnic spots
explain why this region is one of Perth's most popular holiday destinations. Walk
into the ocean on one of the world's longest timber jetties (2km) and/or view
the stunning coastline from the lighthouse at Cape Naturaliste. Complete the day
with a relaxing drive into Margaret River and settle into this world famous wine
& surfing region.

Day
2 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Around Margaret
River (& Cape Leeuwin) - 43km
Spend
a full day exploring the stunning southwest region. A morning walk and/or a refreshing
swim at any of the beautiful surf beaches along the Margaret River Coastline is
great way to start the day. Later in the morning take a scenic drive through the
rolling hills and wonderful wineries of this world famous wine region. Visit any
number of world class wineries including household names such a Leuwin Estate,
Vasse Felix & Xanadu. After a beautiful lunch and a glass of wine at any of
the recommended winery restaraunts head south to Cape Leeuwin, where the Southern
and Indian Oceans meet. Between
June-Dec Humpback and Southern right whales migrate north along the coast around
the Cape. Within the region you have the option to
explore some worderful caves and marvel at forests of the world's 3rd largest
Tree Species.

3 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Margaret River or Cape Leeuwin to Albany - 370km
An adventurous
day travelling between Cape Leeuwin to Albany. Spend the morning walking and exploring
around Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park before beginning your journey to Albany.
A number of attractions along the way including climbing the 61m Glouster tree
which doubles as a fire watchtower. The famous Valley of
the Giants 'Tree Top Walk" rises 38m above the surrounding Forest. The Great
Wilderness areas and the great coastal attractions on the way into Albany include
recommended detours into Norndalup,
William Bay and West Cape Howe National Parks with great scenery forests and walks.

- 100km
Spend
the day exploring Albany and enjoy its interesting history, and surrounding coastal and mountain scenery.
Albany's historic buildings (oldest in WA) and museums are worth exploring, and
include a full scale replica of the ship 'Amity' located in parkland near the
foreshore . For coastal attractions a drive around the harbour takes you to great coastal
attractions including 'The Gap', 'Natural Bridge' & the Blowholes. In
the afternoon you have the option to explore more of the attractions along the
coast East of Albany including stunning Two Peoples Bay and
Cheyne Beach part of Waychinicup National Park.

Esperence - 480km
Day 5 Spend the morning exploring Albany
and enjoy
its interesting history, and surrounding coastal, rural and mountain scenery.
If you haven't on Day 4 take a short drive around the harbour
to some great coastal attractions including 'The Gap', 'Natural Bridge' &
the Blowholes. After exploring Albany's highlights begin driving to Esperance, where you will
detour and experience some uniquely stunning coastal attractions. Fitzgerald River
& Stokes National Parks offer stunning coastline, rugged granite ranges &
deep wide river valleys. Arrive into Esperance &
settle into your campsite.

6 (Flexible / Suggestion Only): Around Esperence - 80km
Spend
the day exploring around Esperance, with its spectacular outlook over Esperance
Bay dotted with the many small islands of the surrounding Archipelago. A great
way to spend the day is to take a scenic loop taking in the Twilight Beach Road
and what is arguably the most striking coastline in Australia with its granite
landforms, turquoise water and incredibly white sand.
The scenic loop we suggest takes you past Ten Mile Lagoon
Windfarm, Pink Lake with its amazing colour, the 1000yr old palms at Monjingup
and the incredible natural attractions of Cape Le Grand National Park. After this
spectacular loop spend the afternoon relaxing on any of the amazing beaches at
or near Esperance.

to Wave Rock, Your departure time will depend on what time you want to arrive

to relax and explore any of its sensational attractions. A popular option is to
take a trip to Rottnest Island. Located
just 19 kilometres off the coast of Fremantle this
island getaway features picturesque scenery and some of WA's finest beaches and
bays. Without cars on the island you get around by foot or bicycle. Alternatively
spend the day whetting your appetite on the Swan River, a picnic to the Darling
Ranges, a visit to a vineyard or a stroll around Perth.
