Day 1 (Flexible): Arrive in Alice Springs

Arrive in Alice Springs, pick up your campervan from the depot and depending on your interests begin exploring some of the many attractions within Alice Springs. Alice's attractions can be explored as 6 separate discovery trails based on themes. Choose and explore one or more of these themes depending on your interests. The Communications theme for example includes the School of the Air (the worlds largest classroom) and the Old Telegraph station (must see). Day 2 (Flexible): Around Alice Springs West MacDonnell Ranges:

A free day to relax and explore more of Alice Springs or alternatively take the opportunity to explore the spectacular gorges and gaps of the West MacDonnell Ranges at your own pace. The road is bitumen all the way till Ormiston Gorge and Glen Helen Lodge. Choose from the 9 attractions depending on your fitness level and interests. All of the attractions are unique and stunning in their own right After this spectacular day spend the night at Glen Helen or return to Alice Springs.

Day 3 (Flexible): Alice Springs to Wattarka (Kings Canyon)

Spend part of today driving from Alice Springs to Kings Canyon. We recommend completing the drive between these two locations during the hottest part of the day. This morning you have the option to participate in a morning Hot Air Balloon ride or a Camel Ride in Alice. Mid to late morning begin the drive to Kings Canyon therefore arriving mid to late afternoon and therefore cooler part of the day.

Day 4 (Flexible): Wattarka (Kings Canyon) to Uluru (Ayers Rock)

An early morning start gives you the opportunity to do the complete Kings Canyon walk during the coolest part of the day (subject to health and fitness) Spend part of the day driving from Wattarka to Uluru along Luritja Rd and Lasseter highway. Along the way stop over at Kings Creek Station a working cattle/camel station with facilities and the opportunity to experience the outback either by quad (4 wheel motorbike), helicopter or camel. You might even try one of their famous Kings Creek camel burgers for lunch.

Day 5 (Flexible): Exploring Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park:

A magnificent day exploring the Kata-Tjuta National Park. Spend the time driving or walking around the base of the rock exploring the many aspects of this amazing monolith. A trip to Uluru is also about experiencing and understanding its cultural & spiritual significance. Self Discover or take one of the guided tours that inform about the local flora and fauna, bush foods and the Aboriginal Dreamtime stories. In the afternoon visit Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) a collection of weathered red domes, located 50 km from Ayers Rock along a sealed road. Many people believe Kata Tjuta is even more spectacular than the Rock.

Day 6 (Flexible) : Uluru - Alice Springs:

An early wake up to experience sunrise and explore any of the attractions, walks or tours around Uluru you may be interested in. A peaceful 1 hr camel ride over big red sand dunes or a Guided Aboriginal tour begining at sunrise with a short tour at the base of Uluru and a restaraunt breakfast at the culture centre. After completing your morning adventure return begin the 450km drive back to Alice Springs. Your departure time will depend on the attractions you want to see from these two locations and along the Lasseter and Stuart Highways.

Day 7 (Flexible): Free Day in Alice

A free day to relax, play golf, shop for souvenirs or explore more of Alices' highlights depending on what time and how you are leaving Alice. If you have the time take a short drive to the East MacDonnell Ranges and explore striking scenery and stunning attractions of Emily Gap & Jessie Gap & Trephina Gorge.
