Day 1: Arrive in Alice Springs Arrive in Alice pick up your rental vehicle from the depot and begin exploring some of the many attractions within Alice Springs. The local Tourist Association has developed 6 discovery trails around Alice Springs centred on themes. Each has its own distinctive brochure in which you will find a map with more detailed information about the sites and attractions within that theme. Day 2: Balloons & West MacDonnell Ranges: An early morning start with a spectacular balloon ride. Watch the sun rise & the kangaroos, wallabies and kites in their early morning activities. A Chicken and Champagne Breakfast awaits you on return ( - after the balloon has been packed up). Spend the rest of the day exploring the spectacular gorges and gaps of the West MacDonnell Ranges at your own pace. The road is bitumen all the way till Ormiston Gorge and Glen Helen Lodge. Choose from the 9 attractions depending on your fitness level and interests, before spending the night at Glen Helen Lodge. Day 3: Alice Springs to Wattarka (Kings Canyon) Spend part of the day driving from Alice Springs to Kings Canyon. Spend the afternoon and therefore cooler part of the day exploring the shear cliff walls of Kings Canyon. The package deal includes a heli flight so that your introduction to the Canyon and surrounding landscape is from the air. Day 4: Wattarka (Kings Canyon) to Uluru (Ayers Rock) An
early morning start gives you the opportunity to do the complete Kings Canyon
walk during the coolest part of the day ( subject to health and fitness) Spend
part of the day driving from Wattarka to Uluru along Luritja Rd and Lasseter highway.
A mid morning departure allows you to arrive and settle into Ayers Rock Resort
in a relaxed state. In the afternoon we have organised a 1/2 hr scenic flight
to take photos of this extraordinary landscape. The aerial view puts the size

Day 5: Exploring Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park: A magnificent day exploring the Kata-Tjuta National Park. Spend the time driving or walking around the base of the rock exploring the many aspects of this amazing monolith . You also have the opportunity to climb the Rock (people with heart and respiratory problems or fear of heights should not attempt it). In the afternoon visit Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) a collection of weathered red domes, located 50 km from Ayers Rock along a sealed road. There are two formal walks at Kata Tjuta and both are recommended. Many people believe Kata Tjuta is even more spectacular than the Rock. Return to your accommodation before being picked up and taken to the Sounds of Silence Dinner. Watch the sunset over the Rock and fine dinning under the stars. Day 6: Uluru - Alice Springs: An early wake up to experience sunrise with a guided tour. This package allows you to choose between three options to watch the spectacular sunrise over Uluru & Kata Tjuta. option 1) a peaceful 1 hr camel ride over big red sand dunes 2) a hearty sunrise breakfast in an open air dining site and informative talk on local flaura and fauna on a secluded sand dune with 360-degree views 3) A guided walk of Uluru with local Aboriginal guides who will share ancient bush skills (also includes breakfast) After completing your chosen tour, return back to the resort and begin the 450km drive back to Alice Springs.
