Day 1: Arrive in Alice Springs Arrive in Alice Springs pick up your rental vehicle and begin exploring some of the many attractions within Alice Springs. The local Tourist Association has developed 6 discovery trails around Alice Springs centred on themes. Each has its own distinctive brochure in which you will find a map with more detailed information about the sites and attractions within that theme. ![]() | Day 2: Alice Springs to Wattarka (Kings Canyon) Spend part of the day driving from Alice Springs to Kings Canyon. Spend the afternoon and therefore cooler part of the day exploring the shear cliff walls of Kings Canyon. Choose from the various walks available including the 1.3 km Creek Walk through the Canyon (wheelchair accessible) or the more strenuous 6km Kings Canyon Walk across the top (spectacular). ![]() | Day 3: Wattarka (Kings Canyon) to Uluru (Ayers Rock) An
early moring start gives you the opportunity to do the complete Kings Canyon walk
during the coolest part of the day ( subject to health and fitness) Spend part
of the day driving from Wattarka to Uluru along Luritja Rd and Lasseter highway.
A mid morning departure allows you to arrive and settle into Ayers Rock Resort
in a relaxed state. In the afternoon feel free to explore the Cultural Centre

Day 4: Exploring Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park: A magnificent day exploring the Kata-Tjuta National Park. Spend the time driving or walking around the base of the rock exploring the many aspects of this amazing monolith . You also have the opportunity to climb the Rock (people with heart and respiratory problems or fear of heights should not attempt it). In the afternoon visit Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) a collection of weathered red domes, located 50 km from Ayers Rock along a sealed road. Day 5: Uluru - Alice Springs: An early wake up to experience sunrise over the rock for the last time or just sleep in the choice is yours. Today you will drive the 450km drive back to Alice Springs.
