Day 1: Arrive in Alice Springs

Arrive in Alice pick up your rental vehicle from the depot and begin exploring some of the many attractions within Alice Springs.

The local Tourist Association has developed 6 discovery trails around Alice Springs centred on themes. Each has its own distinctive brochure in which you will find a map with more detailed information about the sites and attractions within that theme. Choose and explore one or more trails that interest you before settling into your accommodation.

Day 2 : Alice Springs Balloons & Camels

A unique day & a truely unique way to experience Alice Springs. An early morning start with a spectacular balloon ride. Watch the sun rise & the kangaroos, wallabies and kites in their early morning activities. A Chicken and Champagne Breakfast awaits you on return ( - after the balloon has been packed up). In the evening you will ride a camel to dinner.

Day 3: West MacDonnell Ranges:

A full day exploring the spectacular gorges and gaps of the West MacDonnell Ranges at your own pace. The road is bitumen all the way till Ormiston Gorge and Glen Helen Lodge. Choose from the 9 attractions depending on your fitness level and interests.

Day 4: East MacDonnell Ranges:

A half day exploring the bitumen road access attractions along the East MacDonnell Ranges including Ross River Homestead. Return back to Alice Springs and visit the Alice Springs Desert Park. An excellent internationally recognized Wildlife and Botanical Park displaying Flora and Fauna in desert habitats.

Day 5: Free Day in Alice

A free day to relax, play golf, shop for souvenirs or explore more of Alices' highlights depending on what time and how you are leaving Alice. (Package price assumes vehicle will be returned to the depot at the same time as it was picked up on Day 1).
