Day 1 Alice
Springs - Tanami Desert You start this magnificent tour in Alice Springs,
meeting at the wonderful MacDonnell Range Holiday Park then head north up the
Stuart Hwy to the Tanami Track. A pleasant drive on bitumen to Tilmouth Well Roadhouse
and then you hit the notorious unsealed section of the Tanami track. It is a long
dusty, corrugated road these days but should present us wih no problems. Overnight,
the convoy will make a bush camp near Rabbit Flat.

2 Tanami Desert - Old Halls Creek The convoy continue up the Tanami Track
through goldfields and over the Western Australia border. You will visit the huge
Wolfe Creek Cater where a meteor crashed into the Earth's service many thousands
of years ago. Then follow the sealed road into Halls Creek and head out to Old
Halls Creek for our quiet camp ground in this historic setting

Day 3 Old
Halls Creek - Bungle Bungles Head back into Halls Creek to restock the
larder and the fuel before heading up the highway to the Bungle Bungle National
Park. The drive into the Park is one of the best in the land. You will be awestruck
with the beauty of the Bungles. Several open creek and river crossings and inspiring
scenery make this slow track a delight to drive. The group will make camp for
two nights in the Park and enjoy the warm evenings and clear skies that will be
with us for the remainder of the tour.

4 Bungle Bungle National Park Today will be one of the best of your lifetime,
a bold statement but the beauty of the Bungles cannot be described in words. You
will start the day with an early morning helicopter flight over the magnificent
beehive formations. This is followed by a short drive to the start of the walk
to Cathedral Gorge. The walk will get you up close and personal with the strange
beehive rocks whilst the enormous size of the rocky outcrops will astound. Cathedral
Gorge is simply stunning with its towering beehive cliff faces and cold pool of
water fringed by a sandy beach. After lunch we drive the full length of the Bungles
embracing the beauty of the massive rocky outcrop. Making our way to Echidna Chasm
we see a very different aspect on the Bungles on this fabulous walk. Echidna Chasm
has jaw dropping beauty and you will marvel at its deep cleft and weird fluorescent
lighting as you squeeze between 100 feet high sheer cliffs. To cap off the best
day of your life we stop atop a rocky mountain range to watch sunset over the
blazing red rock faces of the Bungles - Stunning!!.

5 Bungles - Kununurra Today we retrace over that beautiful access road
out of the Park and once more on the bitumen highway we pass through Turkey Creek
on our way to a little luxury at our camp at the KimberleyLand Caravan Park. This
Park is set on the shores of Lake Kununurra and has some of the best Boab Trees
you will see. The group will make camp here for 3 nights.

6 Kununurra You can either have a rest day and explore the town and the
surrounding Ord River Scheme or join the group on the optional Lake Argyle Cruise.
Not to be missed, this is a fabulous 5 hour cruise on the mighty Lake Argyle.
You will see heaps of birds, feed Archer Fish, spot crocodiles and enjoy a glass
of champagne as the sun sets over the Lake, a beautiful day showcasing the colours
of the Kimberley.

7 Kununurra We have two full days in Kununurra and today you can take the
optional plane flights to view the mighty Argyle Diamond mine or simply enjoy
shopping for diamonds in the many jewellery stores in town. The local fruit is
some of the best in the country so a visit to the local Melon Farm and on the
way some fishing at Ivanhoe Crossing might also take your fancy.

8 Kununurra - Pentecost River Another great day awaits us, you start off
with a visit to the Zebra Rock Gallery where you will see this amazing Rock being
transformed into beautiful art pieces. From here you will visit the Grotto, a
plunge pool on the way to Wyndham and for the bird fanciers, Parry Lagoon with
its teeming birdlife and special viewing hides. In Wyndham you will not miss the
giant Croc or the view from the awe inspiring Five Rivers Lookout. Then its time
to get off road as we follow the little used Old Karunjie Track past the Boab
Prison Tree and then deep into El Questro Station. The drive along the Old Karunjie
Track in the shadow of the Cockburn Range with a setting sun lighting the orange
cliffs is something special. The group we will make a bush camp above the crocodile
infested Pentecost River for the night.

Day 9 Pentecost River
- El Questro Station Completing the magnificent 4WD track along the Pentecost
River we reach the start of the Gibb River Road. But first, a visit to Emma Gorge
. The strenuous walk to the falls is well worth the effort and you will marvel
at the beauty of Emma Falls and opulence of El Questro Station. The convoy will
make our way to the camp site on El Questro Station for lunch and then join the
optional Chamberlain Gorge Tour in the afternoon. This cruise takes us down the
Chamberlain Gorge with its towering red and orange cliffs, ancient aboriginal
art including specimens of Bradshaw Art. Expect to see fresh water crocodiles
sunning themselves as you glide past.

10 El Questro Station - Drysdale Station After visiting the natural hot
spa at Zebedee Springs we leave El Questro Station and start the journey down
the infamous Gibb River road. After crossing the Pentecost River, stop at a magical
lookout back over the river bed with the dramatic Cockburn Range as its backdrop.
The Gibb River Road meanders through the heart of the Kimberley Region and you
will enjoy the many stunning vistas as you head towards the Kalumburu Road. The
group will camp on the old Drysdale River Station for the night.

11 Drysdale Station - King Edward River Today is only a short drive up
the Kalumburu Road and then onto the Mitchell Falls Road. Where it crosses the
King Edward River you will find beautiful bush camp which will be home for the
next three nights. The river provides safe swimming and the warm climate will
entice you into the champagne like waters. Nearby there are some of the best aboriginal
art sites to explore and the amazing burial sites that you are permitted to view.

12 King Edward River - Mitchell Falls and return. Using our base camp at
the King Edward River, today you head along the notorious Mitchell Falls Road
to the Falls. Here you have the option of walking along the river to the Falls
or taking a short helicopter flight to the Falls. Either way, you will be amazed
at the rugged beauty of the Mitchell Falls. After a day of exploring and swimming,
return to base camp.

13 King Edward River - Kalumburu and return The Kalumburu Road is in reasonable
condition but the open river crossings still require care. This leads us to the
Aboriginal settlement of Kalumburu where you can shop and visit the intriguing
old Missionary Church. Then follow the corrugated road to Honeymoon Bay where
you will see the azure blue waters of the Timor Sea, you may even wish to try
your luck at catching a fish. After an interesting day visiting the top end of
WA the group returns to our base camp on the King Edward River.

14 King Edward River - Manning Gorge Today, you leave this idyllic camp
for it is time to explore further west. Back down the Kalumburu Road over rivers
and once more onto the Gibb River Road, it improves and so does the scenery. Pause
at Mt Barnett roadhouse, signs of civilisation with a roadhouse and ice creams!
Then the group will make camp at the beautiful Manning Gorge with time to explore
its rugged bed.

15 Manning Gorge - Mornington Station You are in the heart of Gorge country
in the Kimberley and today, will visit Galvans Gorge, Adcock Gorge and then make
your way to one of the best gorges in the Kimberley. Follow the 4WD track to the
new wilderness retreat of Mornington Station. There are numerous open creek crossings
and amazingly shaped Boab trees.

16 Dimond Gorge The base camp is at Mornington wilderness lodge and spend
the day exploring the beautiful gorges around Mornington on the Fitzroy River.
This includes a visit to the amazing Dimond Gorge with its spectacular towering
cliffs and awe inspiring colours.

17 Mornington Station - Bell Gorge Leaving camp at Mornington you make
your way back to the Gibb River road and head for one of the most scenic gorges
in the Kimberley, Bell Gorge. Tonight, will camp at Silent Grove before taking
the final walk into the stunningly beautiful Bell Gorge. You will have half a
day to explore on foot and swim around the magnificent waterfalls of Bell Gorge.

18 Bell Gorge - Windjana Gorge It is a beautiful drive from Bell Gorge
to Windjana Gorge, cross the King Leopold Range and then pass through the black
mountains of the Napier Range. Making camp at Windjana Gorge you will set off
for Tunnel Creek. Magnificent Boab Trees and rugged ranges line the way to Tunnel
Creek. But this does little to prepare you for the darkness of Tunnel Creek. Wade
through waist deep water in the belly of the Napier Range and explore the area
that made "Pigeon" famous. On return to the campsite at Windjana you
can explore this beautiful waterhole and gorge replete with its many freshwater
crocodiles.

19 Windjana Gorge - Fitzroy Crossing Follow the road past Tunnel Creek
to join the Northern Hwy and settle into Fitzroy Crossing before lunch. There
is enough time to then join a boat cruise on the stunning Geike Gorge, carved
from the limestone reefs by the Fitzroy river this is another one of those incredible
Kimberley sights.

20 Fitzroy Crossing - Broome After traversing the infamous Gibb River Road,
delighting in its many gorges and stunning rocky escarpments you have a new colour
to add to our kaleidoscope of optic delights - Azure blue. The waters of the Indian
Ocean are first seen in King Sound at Derby, which you will visit before heading
south on good roads to the tourist mecca of Broome. Visit this amazing location
in the height of the tourist season and after several days with few, if any visitors
you may at first find the crowds a little overpowering. But this is what adds
to the colour and vitality of Broome. To avoid the worst that overcrowded camp
sites can cause, reservation can be made for the spacious cabins for your use.
These are optional to the tour and highly recommended. The cabins are right across
the road from the bluest of blue seas at Cable Beach and your first sunset over
the Indian ocean is just a short walk away.

21 & 22 Broome You have two full days and three nights in Broome, this
is basically Rest and relaxation time. Vehicle checks, shopping for pearls and
diamonds, or just plain sitting on Cable Beach watching the antics of the tourists.
Arrangements for a deep sea fishing charter can be made for you which will see
you catch the whole group enough fish for a few days or you might visit the Malcolm
Douglas Crocodile Farm.

23 Broome - Cape Leveque OK, so you thought Broome was pretty good, but
all those tourists were getting to you, no worries you will now be guided to a
place like Broome without any crowds or any development - Cape Leveque! The first
challenge is the road, a sandy track through thick scrub but on the way there
is the amazing Mother of Pearl church at Beagle Bay. The campsite is a lovely
green grassed area overlooking the beach. There has been sightings of whales from
this location! This is where the group will make base camp for three nights.

24 & 25 Cape Leveque With two full days in this idyllic spot you have
plenty of time to explore and enjoy this stunning location. The beach below has
the most amazing red rock backdrop and is a real picture at sunset, the water
is good for swimming too. Over the headland, past the lighthouse is the pearly
white sands that are very soft, tyre pressures must be dropped. This leads to
the Hunter River which is an ideal spot to wet your fishing lines. Whilst here
arrangements have been made for some great optional tours for you, the light plane
flight over the Buccaneer Archipelago and the Horizontal Waterfalls is a must
do item. You will simply not believe the beauty of this seascape from the air.
And to witness the Horizontal Waterfalls as the 8 metre tidal surge tries to escape
between rocky headlands is something to cherish. For something very different
and more attuned with the local inhabitants is the Sunday Island Cruise, join
the local aboriginal guide as he takes you on a cruise around the blue waters
off Cape Leveque. Fishing, BBQ on the beach, and witness the tidal rush first
hand, some have described this as the highlight of their Kimberley experience.

26 Cape Leveque - Broome Sadly you must drag yourself away from the beach
side camp as it is time to head home. You will be escorted back to Broome where
