Day 1 (Flexible): Arrive Darwin:

Day 1 Arrive in Darwin and pick up your vehicle before spending the rest of the day exploring the local highlights Darwin has to offer such as the fish feeding, Crocodylus Park & the attractions around Stokes Hill Wharf such as the Outdoor cinema, amazing WWII tunnels and Indo Pacific Marine. Darwin is a modern city whose great tropical lifestyle is a real surprise to people who aren't expecting it. Well attended markets & sensational sunsets cap off a great day.

Day 2 (Flexible): Darwin to Mary River Wetlands

Day 2 Begin by travelling from Darwin to the Mary River Wetlands. Arrive early to Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve and the informative Window on the Wetlands Centre before doing a famous jumping crocodile cruise (discount applies). In the afternoon spend the afternoon participating in the Wetland & Wildlife Safari Tour or Sunset Dinner Cruise (discount applies).

Day 3 (Flexible): Mary River Wetlands to Kakadu

Day 3 An early start to begin exploring World Heritage Listed Kakadu National Park. On arrival into Jabiru, begin exploring the award winning Bowali Centre. After lunch continue to explore this sensational National park by heading out to Ubirr Rock & explore the famous rock art and bushwalks in this region (best short walks in the park) after your walk(s) climb Ubirr & watch the incredible sunsets over the Wetlands.

Day 4 (Flexible): Around Kakadu National Park

A full day exploring the magnificent natural and cultural attractions that make Kakadu National Park such a special place. Begin your journey by heading south to explore the rock art around Nourlangie including the Rock Shelter, where there is evidence of occupation stretching back twenty thousand years. After Nourlangie make the drive to Cooinda where you will spend the night at the lush campground and the beautiful area around the Yellow Water Wetlands.

Day 5 (Flexible): Around Kakadu (Guided Tour - extra cost)

A full day with the option to explore the remote (Jim Jim) or restricted (Arnhemland) areas of Kakadu with a guide (extra cost refer below). Choose between the Jim Jim & Twin Falls tour - the awe-inspiring 200 metre high cliffs & enjoy a swim in the plunge pools. or take the Arnhemland Tour - Aboriginal culture, stunning scenery & best rock art in the region.

Day 6 (Flexible): Kakadu onto Katherine

A full day to explore attractions in the south of Kakadu before travelling onto Katherine. Book yourself on the Yellow Water Cruise. (10% discount as part of package). After the cruise head south and experience the great short walks and plunge pools in teh south of the park. You now leave the park and head towards Katherine with a stop & a swim at picturesque Edith Falls before arriving in Katherine.

Day 7 (Flexible): Katherine (Katherine Gorge)

A full day in Katherine to explore the gorge and surrounds. The twelve kilometre Katherine Gorge is carved through the Arnhemland plateau, and the spectacle of the river, shear cliffs and rock art make this an excellent place to explore. Photos do not do this area justice. There are three ways to explore the Park, bushwalking, helicopter flight or boat cruise (10% discount as part of package). The best way to see Katherine Gorge is a combination of two.

Day 8 (Flexible): Katherine to Litchfield

From Katherine start traveling back towards Darwin stopping off at attractions of interestalong the way including the rugged and still undiscovered Douglas Daly Region. before entering the magnificent waterfalls and swimming holes of Litchfield National Park. Their are number of swimming options and all are great but make sure you don't miss Buley Rockhole & Wangi Falls before returning to the nearby township of Batchelor and your campsite.

Day 9 (Flexible): Litchfield National Park to Darwin

A free day to relax and explore more of Litchfield National Park. Litchfield is the most popular National Park in the Northern Territory and is characterised by a spring fed Plateau. Unlike Kakadu and other spots in the top end, waterfalls flow all year round at Litchfield, even late in the dry it when it hasn't rained in six months. Spend the day exploring and swimming at Buley, Wangi, Tolmer and Florence Falls before leaving Litchfield and driving the 140km North to Darwin. Day 10 (Flexible): Around Darwin

A free day relax or explore more of Darwins' highlights depending on what time and how you are leaving Darwin. Recommended attractions include Indo Pacific Marine, the Pearling Exhibition, Fannie Bay Gaol, the Museum featuring the Cyclone Tracy Exhibition, Art Gallery and the East Point Military Museum.
